Service delay refunds
Did you know that TFL may refund you the single fare of your delayed tube journey if it was more than 15 minutes late?
Use the form to compare how long your tube journey should have taken and it will recommend if you should apply for a service delay refund.
However, the following conditions apply for a service delay refund.
- The delay was within TFL's control. You can't get a refund for planned service changes and engineering work, or if your journey was delayed for reasons outside of their control such as:
- A security alert
- A customer incident, for example, a person ill on a train
- Adverse weather conditions
- You must apply for a refund within 28 days of your delayed journey.
